If a bare majority of voters had enough smarts to reason their way out of a paper bag, we might have fewer elected rulers and elites that are stupid as bags of rocks.

The vast majority of western society being too stupid to know that they are too stupid to value intelligence, it is no wonder that our elites and rulers mostly have IQs roughly equal to their hat size.
If the bulk of society prizes anything at all, other than self indulgence, it has to be stupidity. Why else would they proudly flaunt it, vote for it, even celebrate it, and spout it at every opportunity?
Am I being unkind by suggesting that non-stupid people are a minority?
